This May, help me “walk across Canada” to give more Canadians a new leash on life!
The weather is getting nicer and that means it is walk season! I’m participating in my 4th Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides and I’m as excited by this walk as I was my first. I am excited because we are trying to raise $1.6 Million dollars so Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides can continue to work the magic of matching people with a physical or medical disability with highly trained and skilled dogs. These matches are incredible when you see how they truly transform the way someone lives. It can mean the difference for someone being able to go away to school and live independently, or for someone being able to nail that dream job, or for someone being able to live each day without fear of facing a medical emergency alone. They may seem like small things but for someone who lives with a disability – the level of confidence and independence a Dog Guide provides can be truly transformative and open up doors and possibilities that may previously have been shut.
As the CEO of Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides, I am privileged
to lead this great organization. I am
reaching out to ask for your support by making a donation to my walk
fundraising efforts. This year, I will
be walking in 3 separate walks and would be happy to have you join me – a guarantee
for a fun time with lots of dogs – pets, Dogs Guides and Dog Guides in
training.
Please donate now and support me in my challenge!
