Please join us for a walk through the beautiful town Omemee and along the Trans Canada Trail. The walk is approx. 5 km rain or shine. Pick up a pledge form at the Omemee Post Office, Coronation Hall, Omemee Veterinary Hospital, Foodland, Green Tractors-John Deere, Coffee Time (Fowlers Corners); collect donations and participate in the walk held on Sunday May 27th at 1pm. Registration is at 12 noon at the Omemee Curling Club/Lions Hall at 8 James Street. You do not need to bring or own a dog. This walk raises donations to help train Service dogs for the disabled. Bring a spouse, child, friend if you would like and convince them to collect donations as well.
Thanks to our sponsors, 100% of the funds raised from the Walk go directly towards the raising, training and placement of Dog Guides for Canadians with medical or physical disabilities. Dog Guides Canada has already provided specially trained Dog Guides to more than 2764 men, women and children, all without any government funding. With your help more people will experience the mobility, safety and independence a devoted Dog Guide brings.
